WHAT IS THE NORTH BAY AMATEUR RADIO CLUB?

The North Bay Amateur Radio Club (NBARC) is a non-profit organization whose objective is to further the interests of Amateur Radio, provide communications for local organizations, and when requested - to provide emergency communication. As well, it provides a place for amateurs and non-amateurs to get together to discuss the common topic.....radio.
MEETINGS
The club has a business meeting the second Wednesday of every month (except July and August) at the old fire hall on base at 1930L. These are very informal meetings. After the business portion, where club matters are decided upon, there is usually a presentation of interest to the members after which a 50/50 draw takes place. This gives the members a chance to meet face to face rather than talking to one another "on the air". The December meeting is a Christmas Dinner meeting held at one of the local resteraunts.
Daily coffee meetings are a very popular activity with club members. Monday to Friday meetings are held at the North Bay Mall on Lakeshore Drive at 10 AM and the Saturday coffee is held at the North Gate Square on Highway 11, again at 10 am. Not much business is accomplished at these meetings but many an opinion is expressed on a wide variety of subjects.
Everyone, (amateur and non-amateur alike) is welcome to these meetings. For more info email;
or drop into one of our meetings.
